Hey Thanks for the lesson. I learned the riff but i really want to know how you were able to get that sound with a telecaster. I know that Tom Morello used a telecaster to record this. I use a stratocaster and I can never get that sound. I have a Marshall Haze 40 amp.

Can you please show me how to achieve that tone? I don't want to buy new gear because I'm broke. Thanks man.

The Tele here was loaded with a humbucker at the bridge ( DiMarzio Chopper T ) so had a thicker sound compared to a single coil. But as you Say TM uses a Tele.

See if having high mids and little more treble helps thicken out the sound and give a little more 'zing' on the top end :)
