This is a video of my recently acquired Martin HD-16RLSH. I wanted to demonstrate what it sounded like for those of you who were wanting to hear it, and/or have one on order still. I have added a bone saddle, buffalo horn bridgepins, Waverly Vintage tuners, and a K & K Western pickup. I have Eric Clapton Phosphor Bronze Medium guage strings on it, and I'm using a Dunlop Ultex .73 flatpick. This was recorded on 5-26-07 with my Kodak digital camera DX6490 using the video feature. It is full of mistakes, but I only want to show the nice sound of this guitar. Unfortunately, I had to sell this guitar in August 2008 in order to make a house payment. Thanks for watching.

  • it sound compressed and misrepresented by the recording . I know its a lovely guitar

  • Of course. It is always compressed when you upload it to YouTube.

  • It depends on whether you like a slightly wider neck width (1 & 3/4") that the 16RLSH has, or the slightly narrower neck width (1 & 11/16") that the HD-28 has. Both are great guitars. The HD-28 will have a more boomier bass and better resale value due to the familiarity of the model with players.

  • Sounds damn good to me.

  • Thank you.

  • DO you think this would be a good buy over the hd 28 i was lookin at the 28 but stumbled on this one , i was a bass player first in 1991 i play all originals and like bottom to my songs , i know this neck joint is different and i have never really shopped for a good acoustic i play prs and gibson and fender custom shop strat so gettin one acousitc i dont have to replace would be great HD-28 OR 16R LSH any feed back would be great

  • I have several audio clips of the PSD10, but not any video clips. I'll work on it...

  • You are so correct. The LSH was the best sounding dread I had up to that point. My current guitar, a Stanford PSD10, will give the Martin a good run for its money though.

  • get bone or faux tortise Not brass unless u want to sound like a dobro.
