Demonstration of the Abbey 7.5M Trailing Shoe on a 2250 Gallon recess tank in Scotland. The Abbey trailing shoe is fully galvanized. Slurry is put on to the ground by the cutlers. The design is to part the grass and lay the slurry at the root of the crop. A slot can be cut into the ground and the depth of the slot depends on the pressure set on the machine which is adjustable depending on ground conditions. Each shoe saddle is in a pair and are sprung loaded to ride over any obstructions on the ground. The distributor unit on the trailing shoe also chops the slurry while it is evenly distributed throughout the pipes. It is also fitted with an auto reverse unit to prevent any blockages. the blades in the unit are self adjusting and self sharpening. Abbey Machinery also manufacture a 6M unit which can be tanker mounted or mounted on a tractor for an umbilical system.
