Absolutely, assuming kitty has claws, Mr.Puppy would have had one interestingly rearranged face if the cat was not amused. Also it's genitalia would have been prematurely removed.

There's a common misperception that cats are somehow ill equipped to deal with dogs. Most breeds of dogs (with exceptions) can be handled by a cat of sufficient size and aggression.

Ahhhh, that cat would have been out of there in a flash if the dog had been too rough! They tolerate nothing they don't want to. They just looked like they were having a bit of rough and tumble play. Cats a tough creatures!
