Central America is the poorest region of the Western Hemisphere, and it is also the most violent, largely as a result of the influence of drug gangs.
But Nicaragua, which shares many characteristics of its more violent neighbours, has not suffered the scars of drug trafficking, and locals say that strong community relations keep violence off their streets.

Somos Felices, comemos bien y vivimos con tranquilidad, si... hay problemas politicos pero eso es otro asunto, lo que pasa es que este noticiario como otros son AMARILLISTAS, solamente presenta lo malo de Nicaragua, nunca presentan las cosas buenas.

the fact that they don't have too much to do with LA helps, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras have lots people living in LA
