@RainWiLLIDie Oh, and about your views on Christianity- I'm a follower of Christ. But the majority of the organizations that "represent" Him are (pardon my vulgarity) as good as the refuse that comes from their back ends. They shit all over what their professed Lord preached. They turn people away with their hypocrisy. So, your words do not offend me in the least.
Rock on, bro.

@RainWiLLIDie Yep. I love the 3 classic Ulver albums (Bergtatt, Kveldssanger, and Nattens Madrigal) - and they are in Norwegian.I don't understand a word of it (though I have read the translations.) I've been a music fan since birth, imagining scenarios and landscapes with classical music, worked my way up to Metal, Alt, Prog....etc. Melody, emotion, conviction; these are the things that draw me in.

Suspension of disbelief, brother.
I don't care in the least about Christianity, I think it's a toxin that has poisoned humanity's potential for far too long, however, I digress.
Honestly, when I listen to music, I listen for melodies, music goes beyond instruments and messages. I could be listening to Japanese Visual Kei Rock and not understand a word,, but the melodies cut through all of that and I feel it.
When I listen to extol, I hear great music.

One thing that has always perplexed me is that people that don't agree with Christian messages in Metal band's lyrics; yet do they agree with the lyrics of secular Metal lyrics? Seriously? Do they sit there and go, "Right on!" about Cannibal Corpse's lyrical portrayals of rape, cannibalism, murder, etc? Do they listen to Nile and immediately bow to a statue of Anubis? Hell- people that listen to GNR sing "Mr. Brownstone" as if drugs were coffee...and they chastise bands for lyrics about God...

This video reminds me of Silent Hill for some reason...

awesome

Such a good band, slow or fast all the songs gives me inspiration!

who cares if ur a christian or a non christian..if you enjoy a good metal band thats what its all about...people make music to be herd and have other people enjoy the amazing sounds that they can bring to the table...so enough with debate..

@numbskull1974 good question, here's the answer
Extol is tech death metal and good musicians love challenges and innovation
Extol consists of only good musicians, which means Extol loves innovation and challenges
Innovation, musically, can be described as pushing sound into new dimensions (intergernre crossing)
and pushing the boundries of expressing yourself sonically
that's exactly what Extol did
love both old and new Extol: brutal and emotional true
