  • What a bunch of negative attitudes. I think this video has quite a bit of interesting information to view.

I suppose if they can't write a book, then some people feel obligated to be critics.

  • oh, that's just youtube. most comments seem written by people with a sub-average IQ, and no life.

  • @SanityRestorer Yeah, you're right. As long as it ends up helping someone, then who am I to talk?

  • Interesting video. Thanks.

  • @olishea Probably because it's closer to reality this way. No offense, but if the lathe distracts you, I don't think the lathe is the problem. If anything it's helpful in illustrated the way this works.

  • @hollt693 Shhhh! I will let you in on a secret: You don't have to buy the book. Nobody is forcing you. Besides: Did he upload this video for free here or not? If this video is enough for you, he basically told you for free how to do it.

And even if this book would not contain any more information than this video it would still be a better purchase than some of the stuff people spend $11 on these days.

  • @PhantomReporter Please don't defend this guy; he wrote an entire book, basically on one application of the "follow me" tool in SketchUp. None of that is bad in and of itself, but the fact that this jackass is trying to extort $10.99 from us in exchange for fifteen second's knowledge is... I'll just call it 'inappropriate.'

  • seriously why the lathe? there's no point, its just a distraction.

  • Pretty good idea to put a sketch of a lathe. :D

  • It seems like this would be a lot of work, when wood is extremely unpredictable there can be knots, cross grain, various things that wood interfere with what the final product will look like. It just seems like a waste of time, no offense to anyone I'm just saying, that I as a turner myself would much rather be in my shop, covered in wood shavings turning a piece of reclaimed oak.
