Very interesting and beautiful creature, Tim. Do you know the approximate lifespan?

My sister and I had a newt that lived for about 20 years. Our mother maintained the tank during our university years and then after we'd moved into our own separate quarters. For a long time, whenever we visited our parents on holidays and such, we joked about the likelihood of the newt ultimately outliving us all.

I belive they can live up to 15 years and grow to around 30cm. he is a great pet to have

i got him from my local pet shop in leeds. they're quite comon pets. you local store should be able to order one in for you if they don't usually stock them

Are you allowed to take them out of water? Lol I hate fish because you can't play with them, but these guys look awesome, might have to get 1 if they don't mind air..

how adorable!! I had recently bought 7 new borns from a breeder. They were are only two weeks old when i got them. I purchased so many because they're extremely fragile so young. i actually only have two left out of the seven. But your age approximation is a little off. Unless you have rediculously small hands, your axie is probably about 6-8 months old. Of course, growth can vary, but by a matter of cms, if that. My "gator" is 8 weeks old on april 9th. He measures 1.22 inches. check my vid:)

Nice man I might get another axolotl or to I have a big male and female breed alot together but yeah there gold I'm thinking of getting a nice white one a baby prob a couple of cms the breeding ones I have I got where about 1.5 cm now ruffly 45 cms :) love an update
