Those four years were spent making companies like Halliburton (and their subsidiaries) extremely rich. The longer they spend "rebuilding" Iraq, the more certain people have to profit...at the expense of the American tax payer, of course. Not to mention the damage it does to America's reputation in the world.

... and stay there. i think it was t. roosevelt (i think) who said you can't be 50% american. you're either american or you're not. it's like the republicans need to be reminded that the same holds true for patriotism... and troop support... etc. you can support the troops a hundred percent without supporting the war. and any idea to the contrary is a marketing FEAT on their part. inexplicable in its success, though.

the veterans on foreign affairs to. even when he says um, this IS like vietnam after all. sen. kennedy's response: the president is learning the wrong lesson from history. maybe we should remind him what actually happened in vietnam.
