Taking hull out of the water on the side you're turning to; induces a turning movement for a kayak. In other words if you want to turn right, edging your kayak to the left takes hull out of the water on the right.
Victoria during her 2nd day of lessons with Kayak Lake Mead is showing us how to gracefully edge a kayak while continuing a nice forward stroke.
