"America might not have invented sideshow, but we sure as hell did perfect it. And Hartzman's American Sideshow is as comprehensive a
text on the strange, the weird, the bizarre, the odd and the unusual - past and present - both freak and working act, as you'll find in this US of A."

  • I want to se more of the dog-face boy, the canine weirdo

  • Johnny Eck, was billed the: "half boy."

One time (or maybe more) a magician would call a handsome guy from the audience to saw in half. When the magician sawed the guy in half Johnny Eck would jump out and run away on his two arms (he didn't have a lower body).

A lot of people fainted at the site not knowing that Johnny's twin brother walked up to the stage and Johnny "walked" out of the magician's box!

  • That's Johnny Eck on the cover! it I were a woman and I weren't around, I'd be in love with him!
