What is the value of a human life? I happen to think that its quite high...but what happens when someone doesn't value their own life? How will those behaviors change the world? I was just thinking on this...
I agree in the majority of what youve said in the video, but I think the disagreements come from as to how someone defines "value". Value is subjective. But it seems that in the context of this video you seem to mean economic value, or whats valuable to this society's financial growth or independence of foreign aid, as in engineers etc... Correct me if Im wrong. I may be mistaken.
Pt2 So in your terms we're absolutely on the same page and side. And I do support your implication that we have a shitload of work to do to improve our stance as a species. And the ends will probably very often justify the means in the course of that.
So to come to a conclusion, we were not speaking of the same thing in the first place. If you have any interest in me clarifying what I was referring to in the comments of the last video, i will be glad to do so in a PM. Cheers, m8 ! :>
Excellent video. I totally get your point and I do really agree on almost every single one. On the big and the small scales. What I conclude from this video is that we seem to have a different definition of the term value or we differentiate them differently from terms like socio-evolutionary significance or economic capability. We actually don't disagree because where I put the value of a human being is very different from where you do . (cont)
i think anyone who eats an animal has no right to say they have the right to not be killed. its survival of the fittest you die thats ur fault not anyone elses
Easy answer is education. Implementation is a bit difficult, though. However, I think if we devote the same amount of resources we are now to education, but remove the compulsory bit we can do a lot of good for the kids who want to succeed.
Downside is you're stuck with a large, ignorant populous of dropouts who do nothing but breed mostly ignorant dropouts.

I can't wait to move to the woods so you all can worry about this until the world explodes and I'll be at peace.

Obviously not much of a tenable solution.
...Perhaps I should say more ignorant...
