Võ Nguyên Giáp, né le 25 août 1911 à An Xá - Viêt Nam, est un général et homme politique vietnamien. Chef de l'Armée populaire vietnamienne pendant la guerre contre l'occupation française et ministre de la défense du Nord Viêt Nam durant la guerre du Viêt Nam, il est le seul général ayant vaincu à la fois l'armée française et l'armée américaine au cours de sa vie.
Il est connu pour être le vainqueur de la bataille de Ðiện Biên Phủ (1954), qui a sonné la défaite et le départ de Français du VietNam.
Le général Vo Nguyên Giap est entré dans l'histoire militaire et les études militaires et stratégiques de son vivant, admiré par ses amis et ennemis, dont le général français Raoul Salan et le général américain William Westmoreland. Vo Nguyen Giap, born August 25, 1911 in An Xa - Viet Nam is a Vietnamese general and politician. Head of the Vietnamese People's Army during the war against the French occupation and defense minister of North Vietnam during the Vietnam War, it is the only general who defeated both the French army and the U.S. military during his life.
He is known to be the winner of the Battle of Dien Bien Phu (1954), who rang the defeat and departure of the French in Vietnam.
General Vo Nguyen Giap joined the military history and military and strategic studies in life, admired by his friends and enemies, the French general Raoul Salan and the U.S. General William Westmoreland. Private self-taught, he has never followed the course of any academy military.

She bore him a daughter, Hong Anh.[3] When France outlawed communism during the same year, Giáp fled to China together with Phạm Văn Đồng where he joined up with Hồ Chí Minh, the leader of the Vietnam Independence League (Việt Minh). While he was in exile, his wife, sister, father and sister-in-law were arrested, tortured and later executed by the French colonial authorities. His daughter is also believed to have perished in prison due to neglect.
