Estação de São Bento is a monumental railway station and is located in the city of Porto, Portugal. This historical station is known for its azulejo (tile) panels that depict scenes of Portuguese history. It is the work of artist Jorge Colaço and date from 1916.
Porto has many faces, it is the capital of the province, a bishops see, university city and centre of trade. It is a busy city with pretty and ugly streets, picturesque old neighbourhoods, impressive architecture and a lots of traffic. Everything that moves tries to make its way through a crisscross of streets, alleyways and squares. Much of the prosperity depends on the port and shipping activities.
