People need to have the will to collaborate. It takes time and patience rather than the traditional leadership skills. Caring about the common good is key.
Also - there are so few models of collaborative leadership that is is difficult to know if you are going in the right direstion. The new media should be an asset since it doesn't necessarily fit the old models of leadership.
