  • For those who haven't figured it out, the ORMA here is not at full speed. She is reefed and flying her jib.

  • Both cool crafts.Go out on the water and do what ever you prefer. These discussions do Not lead anywhere.

  • windsurfer jest na zawietrznej więc trimaran ma przewagę

wiem ze nie ma az takiej strasznej dziury wiatrowej ale jednak lekka różnica jest

  • @YDesdevises Depending on the apparent wind just sheeting in will not necessarily make the trimaran go faster. Nevertheless, sailing in one is a lot less exhausting that sailing a windsurfer!

  • Amazzzzing!!!!!

  • @Cadiuro You can be sure there is wind cause the tri is reefed

awesome feeling, no matter which craft you pilot

  • at 0'48 you can see the tri has still a bit more sheet to pull if it wants to. It's sailing along the windsurfer but could go faster if it wanted to...

  • the windsurfer didnt have any bad wind from the tri as the wind was coming from infront and wouldnt be effected by the tri before it hit the windsurfer, also, the tri has its main reefed and only one of two headsails up, i think the tri wins :P

  • It's very fast!!!

  • @plutik666 the west coast of south america is a beautiful place

but the question is "WHAT is the best time recorded for sailing around the world on a WINDSURFER?

you see, the multihull is designed to sail all the way around the world, and multihulls hold the speed record for doing so, but windsurfers are not up to the challenge

or in other words, if you can sail across calm water in a harbor at 30 or 40 kts, so what?
