Jimi died over 40 years ago ... at the age of 27 … after completely re-defining the instrument AND simultaneously becoming the single highest paid act in the country while doing it

Steve Vai is Great for his time
it's that simple … there is no "better", or "greater"
if competition is THAT important to you … then get into sports ... and leave this great art alone!

If you wanna do a cover from a song, you should always do it in your own way, 'cause the artistic work on the background is so unique that it can't be copied perfectly :)

The girl they show at the begining of the video ( with the letters U.R.A.Q.T) is Ann Marie Calhoun, (she's an awsome violinist) She is really beautiful on Steve Vai's new DVD "where the WILD THINGS are" !!!

There is a difference between making fun of and making a joke. Please learn it. Vai clearly idolises the guy, which explains the several different Hendrix covers Vai has done.

@OfficialSilverViper No worries. I would recommend his stuff. It's weird and definitely not to everyone's tastes, but his ability is astounding!
