Nice instructional video. Like another commentor I had to use Red5 0.9.1 Final. The Red5 1.0 RC1 would not stay "started" as a service in windows 7. Thanks for all you videos.

Another thing - you need to set the global Flash Player preferences to allow local connections:

Right click on a Flash movie, select Advanced, and click on the Trusted Location Settings

Add localhost and the folder where you installed Red5

Thanks, this really helped! A lot of the docs for Red5 seem to be old and scattered.

One thing that I ran into - I could not make the Red5 1.0 RC1 (2 February 2011) release work. The service log shows an exception on startup. Going back to Red5 0.9.1 Final (21 February 2010) worked.
