nuh man, it really did got it for me. redsnow jailbroked my ipod but it had alot of problems, so i jsut rejailbroked with blackrain.

I tried this and it didn't work, it just said failed to recognise IPSW or something along those lines. I think you may be mistaken?

i have the iphone 3gs 3.1.2 firmwear and 5.11.07 baseband and i use the blackra1n and its works great!!!!!! im 4 real. you have to of course 3.1.2 and base band 5.11.07!! now run blackra1n rc3 then let it do its thing. now here the catch get cydia frist. then run cydia once that happen then picj user ok. not compete that will mess up your iphone then go to blackra1n then pick snow. now wifi wont work of so goto setting , general, reset, press reset network settting. then all good. only3gs

redsnow can jailbreak 3.1.2 man, i just jailbroked mine. with resnow 8.0, worked for me.

well, I didnt open task manager and close anything, you back up your phone first, i leave itunes running open the blackra1n software, click make it ra1n wait till it says waiting for phone, then plug in the phone. This took me forever to get to work but it did work and its worth the trouble.
