Except all Cain is doing here is playing what Rollie laid down on the original track. He didn't originate this approach he's playing, Rollie did. This song is from the album "Dream after Dream". It was a japanese movie sound track that Journey did the scoring for when they were still together with Rollie.

  • In a real strange way this blues demonstrates an opening for Jon Cain to step up

and heal the void of loosing the the R&B talents of Greg Rollie and Steve Perry.

No slight to Arnel. : Tantra I had given up on Journey but saw that instramental

tv early show out take with jon cain doin blues piano. BOLD suggestion with commercial hooks GRITTS AINT GROCERIES teach the children MAYALL first...

  • Wow. Great find! Love Dream after Dream. Never knew they did anything from it live.

  • @brickogden

I would say Steve Morse or Gary Moore could, perhaps the few who play with such emotion and technical virtuosity. Thanks for the video.

  • I guess Jeff Beck could attempt this, don't know of anyone else. Superb.

  • @SpasticConiption Great days indeed! How I wish I was at this show.
