Baby raccoon bottle feeding. This guy was brought into us by our local animal control. Mom was living in some ones attic and was forced to leave. Fortunately they did this in a humane way and let mom move out on her own taking her babies with her, however she did leave one behind. The homeowners heard the baby screaming the next day and where able to rescue it.

Please remember that all wildlife should only be raised by a trained and licensed wildlife rehabilitator. They are licensed, vaccinated, and know the proper protocol for raising and releasing a healthy wildlife. If you would like to become a rehabber your self let us know and we may be able to find someone in your area to help you.

  • Yeah well, that "humane way" just meant that that mother ratcoon relocated her family into someone's yard or house, giving them a ratcoon problem. I would be very unhappy if someone did that in my neighborhood and those ratcoons moved into my house as a result.

I know it may sound harsh to some of you, but really trapping these animals and relocating them a long way away from human habitations is the best way to go.
