Music is quite literally in my blood. I was brought up always surrounded by music. My Dad started performing with bands when he was only 13 years of age and was later joined in a band by my Mother who sang the backing vocals. I've been to stage school since the age of 7 studying singing, drama and dance, appearing in many shows.

I'm interested in a very wide range of music and I fall in love with individual songs rather than following specific bands. Among many great singer/songwriters I particularly admire are Freddie Mercury, Paul Simon and Gilbert O'Sullivan.

Because of my varied musical influences I have developed my own unique style. I started writing my own songs from a very early age but began to write more developed and mature songs to match my voice and style when I began to teach myself to play the guitar.

In addition to appearing with the stage school, I have performed with a function band which helped me increase my stagecraft but my first love is performing my own songs.

My debut performance in a London club was at The Betsey Trotwood on March 5th, and I received a standing ovation Wow! I felt like a star, no one could believe that I wrote my own material and it was my first gig.

I want to thank my Mum and all my family for their love and support and Derrick for all his help and advice.
