@Domitianvs That's bizarre. Not a subject to parody... weird.
-
@alwayswinit4real If you look at the info about the clip, you'll see it is tagged as being a "spoof", a "parody", "pranks" and so on.
-
@Domitianvs How is this a parody?

@michelstrogoff99 I must post this today: 11-11-11 in memory of that day long ago when at 11:00 a.m. the guns fell silent in Europe and around the world but only for a short time--will they ever fall silent again and this time for good?

Fantastic version of this marvellous song. Thank you for performing and posting - to whom it may concern.

@mealy777 This is an anti-war song or weren't you listening?
-
It's no less than an pure insult against Eric Bogle and to all those who fell in the War to lable this song a parody, as fun and as a spoof. Nor is it an Irish song. Eric is a Scottish Australian, and not all of the W. McBrides identified in the war were Irish. Granted, a lot of them were, but not all.

@mealy777 try all the forgotten...wether they could be named or they had a name but nary a family to mourn them...
The awesomeness of the performance of the music is matched only by the incredible richness of your photographic selections to illustrate the songs.
Outstanding.
You realize this song could NEVER be played on any mainstream station tv or radio in USA?

the song was neither written by an irishman nor is about an irish soldier.
it was written by a scottsman who was raised in australia, and where willie mcbride actually was from isn't mentioned in the song.

that maybe the case yet its still a great song. seeing that many of the fallin were also irish in this conflict its a fitting tribute to them as well.
