Passing Out Parade of 119th PMA Long Course at Pakistan Military Academy - Part 1

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), Lt. General Tariq Majeed said that Pakistan Army possesses the ability to address the strategic challenges. He said that Pakistan wants friendly relations with all neighboring countries on basis of peaceful co-existence and respect to the sovereignty of the state. He was addressing to Passing-Out Parade of 119th PMA Long Course, at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul. General Tariq said that Pakistan is facing tough situation in the country as well as in the region for which, a national effort to deal with is inevitable. He said that nation is facing conventional and non-conventional threats. He further said that Pakistan Army has a vital role in this regard to tackle with conventional and non-conventional threats. Congratulating the passing out cadets, CJCSC said that this day has brought before you more responsibilities and added that nation has high hopes on you. Personifying the character of a soldier, General Tariq Majeed said that a soldier is also a defender of the ideological borders of the nation, adding that cadets must further elaborate the Islamic image in their professional ventures to defeat the challenges. Later, distinguished cadets were awarded with the prizes. Sword of Honor was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer (ASUO) Wajid. Presidents Gold Medal was awarded to Battalion Senior Under Officer Asfandyar Khan, whereas Lady Cadet Integrated Under Officer Maria was awarded Commandant Cane.
