Well i certainly cant compete with Robc enclosures, i am just giving them a dark home. There is transparant in the side where the hide is, it is so i can take a peek without disturbing them and see if they have given me a sack. Ibought 16 of them for 140 dollars and build a rack where i can control the heat with a thermostat. So soon there will be breedings here.

Cool enclosure, looks much cheaper Robc's method, how much that setup cost you?

No offense but this is a BAD idea. P metallicas deserve to be spoiled with health not stressed and picked up. Either way a poecilotheria Metallica has a serisouly inconvinient bite. Expensive tarantulas need to feel expensive.

@Jayz159ify No offense taken;) I know they are not meant to be handled. The big girls metallica i have is all of them being mated at this time, so they have peace from any intruder;)

Man, isn't that damn dangerous? I've heard the bites of these can be very poisonous and harmful.

@rubetz528 Yes, they do have a bad bite. But poecilotheria metallica are really not that bad tempered. Of course i took a chance, and i dont reccomend others to do it, there are alot other tarantulas to handle that are more safe.
