I am trying to help other people...

I actually have a mac you idiot

    2gb Ram

    Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz

    13.3 inch

Operating system is good if you just wanna use a word processor and the net but Ubuntu can do that better for less money and you dont have to buy a OS that is locked to a manufacturer.

Apple is aiming at the people who dont know anything about computers...

Not everything has to be super simple...

  • mmm i can see why the mouse is so good just by the gestures that you showed me. fucked up shit why doesn't you just use a mac laptop. or or the squared thing next to the mouse.

  • @generischernutzer You're absolutely right, there are many different distros of Linux, but I haven't seen one that's actually "consumer ready", which I suppose supports your point that it's all about the GUI. Even Mint, which is supposedly the most "friendly" distro out there isn't all that friendly. As for Android, no comment. I'm not a fan :\

  • @techassault Linux isn't even "an OS" — and I'm not going to bitch about how Linux is just the kernel. There are quite a few Linux operating systems and some of them are actually quite usable. Android may be a good example :-)

The problem's not Linux, it's the available GUIs. Just like Apple did actually quite a nice job putting a very solid GUI on a BSD which usually isn't that user friendly either.

  • I love the way it just opens stuff straight away. Any windows machine I've used would take minutes to do any of that.. Well that's after the hour it takes to update it's self every time I turn it on followed by the obligatory shut down. Why didn't I buy a mac they just do what I want.

  • Wow it's just opens things - very windows machine I've used would take minutes to do any of that... Well that's before the hour it takes to download the millions of updates I get every time I turn on my machine followed by the annoying shut down restart... Oh why oh why didn't I buy a Mac.

  • @lookin4truth That doesn't really seem fair. I like linux, but it's just not really an OS for the typical consumer. OSX Leopard / Lion & Windows 7 are very much more end user and consumer friendly operating systems. Of course for a power user, Linux blows both of them away and can be made to do anything, but that's more power than most people need or know how to handle. :)

  • this will run great on my x64 based PC

  • UMM this is Linux with a mac skin O____O

    guys honestly, dump apple
