Ripping DVDs into iTunes

This is how to rip DVDs from a regular DVD (not sure if it works with bluray disc readers, i dont have one) into a playable computer file and then add the data that you would normally get when you buy it off of iTunes.

BTW: You need to install/download VLC media player for your computer for Handbrake to function.

my question is how can I burn a dvd, after I've ripped it into the mac... I want to be able to watch it in my dvd.. I have all your programs downloaded already

@evolution83 if you have iLife my first suggestion would be to use iDVD

@MacOSXTutorials123 I ripped it with handbrake but the outcome file .m4v's quality is horrible what can i do.. or what did I do wrong?

@evolution83 perhaps take a few looks at the settings in handbrake when you are selecting what preset to use (apple universal, iphone, etc. there maybe some resolution/bits per sample issues
