Ancient City of Dwarka:
http://unmyst3.blogspot.com/2008/10/a...

Dwarka (Dvarka, Dwaraka, or Dvaraka, is a city in Gujarat state in India). Dwarka also known as Dwarawati in Sanskrit literature is rated as one of the seven most ancient cities in the country. The legendary city of Dvaraka was the dwelling place of Lord Krishna. It is believed that due to damage and destruction by the sea, Dvaraka has submerged six times and modern day Dwarka is the 7th such city to be built in the area. According to Hindu legend the god Krishna built a city which was ultimately destroyed by rising sea levels. Now archaeologists and Indian Navy divers are investigating underwater ruins at Dwarka on India's western coast, said to be Krishna's city. The new efforts, it is hoped, will settle the debate currently raging over the age and authenticity of the site near the Samudranaraya temple. Divers have collected blocks and samples which will now be dated. Traditional Hindu scholars referencing ancient Hindu scriptures believe the location to be very ancient, originally built many thousands of years ago. Such notions are, of course, vehemently rejected by establishment scientists though they are willing to concede that there is evidence indicating an age of as much as 3500 years.

Of course the date when the city was destroyed would be long after the date of its inception, so a definitive maximum date has not been established. The new study is expected to resolve some of the issues. Archaeologists will now use the carbon dating technique to determine the exact age of the ruins. The earlier excavations, that first began about 40 years ago, had only revealed stones, beads, glass and terracotta pieces.

Sorry to tell you, these 'ruins' are most likely natural formations. Similar story to the Yonaguni Japanese 10,000 year old ruins. These ruins looked like it had certain buildings, platforms and stairs, however, it was debunked because they found out that they are natural living bedrock. Dwaraka most likely was the same as the Japanese ruins. And the so-called 'artifacts' found there were tested and found to be natural wood from submerged forests. They are not real artifacts.

Incredible Video and Discoveries, I think the Archeological department should start going deep into the search as Graham Suggested. Because, as he said, if the lad was spread for 50 more km in past, and the description of the texts says that Dwarika was surrounded by sea at that time, then ruins cant be found near to current sear sore. May be they need to go deeper a few more kms into the sea.

Not quite true. The same can be said of Christian religion. To be a Christian, a person doesn't necessarily have to go through any rituals or be approved, say, of by a priest or ordained minister of the religion. All a person needs to do is to believe that Jesus is the prophecied Messiah and to follow his instructions; fe, to believe that he's teacher of God's will and way, to love God, to love our neighbours as ourselves, look after the poor, ill, prisoners, work for peace, etc. Faith and acts.

jus tryin to say Hinduism luks "utterly inaccessible and incomprehensible" for ppl who hav not tried 2 undrstand it with an open mind.Hinduism is t only religion whr a persn does not hav to seek permission frm a priest or a holy man to convert into it. never heard of anyone havin to go thru a ritual to convert to Hinduism. it's completely of free will unlike the case in all other religions. still ppl take up Hinduism. this mere fact proves that it is actually the most accessible of all religions

exactly the point.. Hinduism has a lot of ideas which seem absurd .. just like the lion headed deity. people who try to understand the deeper meaning tend to get it. those who don't take it literally.

I was trying to say that Krishna was a human king who performed miracles . where did Chaitanya come up? yeah he was a revered saint born in the 15th century if I am correct and was thought of as an incarnation of Vishnu just like Krishna was. but wat is the point you are trying to make?

Your position sounds fine to me. And as far as i am concerned i need liberation from even seeking forgiveness.

I would never be an atheist - heavens, no! Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam offer no redemption from sin. They only offer self recognition or liberation. I do not wish to be liberated, but forgiven. I do not crave enlightenment - such a thing seems meaningless to me. The Krishna cult is to me far too obsessed with all-too human affairs - cleanliness, ritual obsessions, sex-obsessions, purity obsessions. There is no room to be human. (PS - I do not use the word "cult" derogatively)
