I can't imagine that Tim here has ever done anything with intelligence augmentation or machine intelligence since there seems to be no understanding of the difficulties within each. This is a classic case of if your not in the field don't talk about it. One of the big problems that AI and physics face is that amateurs who think they know something and don't are always blathering on about the field and casting the field into disrepute. As an AI research I ask you please stop and educate yourself.
