Paul Vitale - St. Louis Rams High School Player Development Camp

As part of the St. Louis Rams Football Club's commitment to youth football, the organization once again partnered with the National Football League to host the 2011 High School Player Development Camp at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Missouri. HSPD serves as a free resource for both high school players and coaches. Presented by the National Guard, the program emphasizes safety and concussion awareness, character development and life skills, and football fundamentals. Camp features include character development, life skills, on-field techniques, motivational speakers, skill development and time management instruction. Each participant received an HSPD student planner, NCAA Initial Eligibility Requirements and SAT/ACT information.

In the character development portion of the camp, PAUL VITALE was a featured guest speaker presenting his signature program "A Hero Within." Recognizing both the aspirations and daily challenges of young people today, Vitale focused on key points to drive home the message of his signature program. Through his impassioned message to the athletes, Vitale not only reinforced the values of the Rams organization, he challenged the student athletes to release their inner heroism, while encouraging them to thrive and excel through positive actions.

Directed by Rams Fan Development Coordinator Kyle Eversgerd, the week-long camp provided athletes opportunities to learn proven techniques, run drills with current Rams coaches and interact with National Guard personnel on hand. Students in every football position had the chance to realize their dream of working with the pros.
