After Vince McMahon bought WCW, I watched old WCW tapes, and by a coincidence, I saw this promo. It gave me the hope that McMahon could NEVER destroy the tradition and the legacy of NWA and WCW, and that one day, there'd be a new promotion who would bring back my love for wrestling. It showed me that there'd always be good wrestling, and that Vince can't kill it, it was there long before him, and it'll stay. Vince is not gonna take the love and the memories from me, them, or all of this!

I echo your thoughts exactly. I dont hate WWE, but I loved wrestling over all, 10 years ago, when there was WWF, WCW, ECW etc. It kept all of the companies on their toes and eager to compete for the wrestling audience. It's not the same pursuit of excellence when there is just one company dominating the whole game. I hardly watch wrestling now. I think the story lines are weak and the wrestling not as interesting. Hopefully one day my interest will be restored.

I'd like to see the NWA come back.

Someone needs to buy the rights to WCW and ECW and bring them back.

@kevmoney2make In my opinion, the ONLY POSITIVE things coming from TODAY'S WWE are the DVDs featuring the "old school" matches and interviews. Also, thank God for YouTube! Now, fans who prefer (to watch) the "old school" matches and interviews can, now, just "point-and-click!"

What a bad wrestleler he was!!! I really liked when HBK finished with his fucking wrestleling time, but the idiot is still in TNA, and I think he's there because his ego does not allow him to give the space to the new generation.

The WWE is the new NWA, And Vince needs to reconize that. Have the Heavyweight Champion travel between FCW,SD,Raw and any of promotion under their Umbrelle. And have a Show where stars can get established against jobbers.... Think about it.

Again another well informed post. Old school wrestling videos seem to bring out the intelligent posters. I rarely see people with the opinion that today's wrestling is better than old school wrestling.
