Tales of Vesperia was released in Japan and North America in August for the Xbox 360. It was meant to be Xbox 360 exclusive but there were rumors about a PS3 release. On 1. April 2009, a Playstation 3 version was confirmed. It was announced along with Tales of Grace (Wii) and Tales of VS (PSP).

The PS3 version has additional Content, not included in the Xbox 360 version:

- New playable (main) character, a pirate girl called Patty Fleur.
- Flynn as a playable character
- Full voice acting
- Ties-In with Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike
- New Cutscenes
- New Subplots
- New Costumes
- New Monsters
- New Bosses (Including the Sword Dancer)
- New Dungeons
- New Artes
- New Hi Ougi/Mystic Artes
- New Skits
- New Animated Scenes
- New Sidequests
- New Songs
- Repede as a selectable on screen avatar

AAAAHH. WHY!? I'm so sad, I don't have a PS3. D: And there's a lava place, you fight the Don, the Ghost Ship has an actual boss, a loli pirate, you can play as Flynn more, Repede can be a screen charater now, Flynn and Yuri have a mystic arte together, come on! *Sad face* I don't like that fact that there'll be more to the storyline than the Xbox version. Why couldn't they make this at first? LOL. D:

The boss in the Ghost Ship is the Sword Dancer of Tales of Vesperia btw.

I don't even have the Xbox 360 version (in Europe it's going to be released in June 2009 wtf?!)

I was pissed when they announced all this. I actually bought a 360 to play Vesperia(and a few other games of course), then this comes out? It's just like Eternal Sonata all over again...

Its to gloat at OTHER fanboys who say the PS3 is SOOO much better, and I've imported games too, if it ends up japan only, go ahead and import it too, I'm not stopping anybody, its just annoying that PS3 gets a better version and they'll gloat about it

Why is Namco so retarded? The sales for this game in JP for the ps3 alone dwarfs the suckbox us and jp sales combined. And of course we don't get the extra content, but Namco pisses away their moderate profits for a damn ToV movie that may never be localized. Damn it's like asking to go bankrupt while pissing off over probably 90% of their us fans. They probably didn't want to release a port cause sales were expectably horrible for the 360 in US (series originally on nes WTF did they expect?)

Man i hope they decide on letting this come out for the US or maybe throw it in for the the 360 i mean they made somthing like super street fighter 4 which is the same thing but with new characters, this shouldnt be no different... then again its probably more difficult then that

@ RageOfLeoEX: I get what you mean... i think they might come out with a patch or make it DLC or even they could just redo a special rerelease for the 360 with a price tag of like $40, maybe. but knowing them they would go for $60 if the made the PS3 version for the 360... oh well nothing to do but wait. i do have i fiath that Vesperia and Grace will come to the US. After all the "Tales of" Franchise is becoming huge in the US and i am sure they want to keep their fans happy.
