Ron Paul on Homeschooling

Yours is an interesting comment. I find that home schooled children I meet can converse with people of all ages because they actually get more chances for social interaction with many others. Most, but not all, publicly schooled children I meet seem to squirm uncomfortably when adults speak to them since they are used to being with peers of their same age group for most of their days. And, you might find this hard to believe, not all homeschooling families are Christian Bible-thumpers.

parents know there children better than any retarded teacher that reads out of a book.. our government is just scared that we will become more and more dumb so they enforce strict schooling on us.. i feel thats the wrong way to go.. when it come to most teens and children that ive known through my life they are rebellious to strict rules and boring book work! get rid of public schooling overall is my opinion.. i got expelled from a HS for leaving school mid day.. whats that say about control?

The government is concerned about kids getting an education that involves real learning in both speaking and writing, because these are the tools of power in this world. That is why they want kids to be in a school where they do not get these things. Homeschooled kids are an unknown quantity.

I like to swear

The more and more I learn about Paul, the more I realize that he was right about most things. I did not vote for him, and in fact I thought he was out of touch, but I was wrong. I was NOT home schooled, and I will probably be working for the public school system after grad school. But I know many people who were home schooled well, and they are impressive. It can be done right and the right should be protected. I like the Paul's tax credit idea better than vouchers too.
