Chevy Front wheel drive shifter cable has a problem & wont shift.
I am going to show you the most common problem & how to fix it very cheap.
Repair shops want over $400. to repair this. I will do it for $10.

  • How did you get the grommet off of the cable while it was still in the car? I have this exact problem and need a fix by tomorrow with little to no money. Thanks.

  • WOOOW ... thats exactly what i need ... the mechanics (which i know and are "friends" with ) want up to 175$ to fix it (ussually in NY is around 300$)... around 80$ the cable to order from dealer ... but after seeing this video .. i think mechanics sometimes are overpaid .. cuz even i can fix it ... so thank you for the video .. keep up the good work and ... howdy ...

  • Good job- paid 120 bucks for a new cable on my wifes Venture Van at a typical parts store. Did it quicker than you but cost 12 times as much!

  • it really sucks that GM does not sell that crommet. this is such an easy fix. to replace the whole linkage is not a fun way to spend your day off.

  • what did you use to cut the rod end off with.? its pretty tight in that area.
