  • I ride mostly bareback nowadays and am better at it than I am riding with a saddle. Now when I actually do saddle up a horse and get on it is so much easier than it used to be before I took to barebacking. I just like having a closer connection with the horse I am riding. It helps balance/builds muscles well. :)

  • well dont u have a colorful span of words.... sounds like my ex... lol

  • my horse doesnt like bareback bc shes not used to the feeling.. so i had my trainer get on her and well when she squeezed her legs (like what i would do bc im not the best barebak rider) she reered up!! how bad is she?? :) jk

  • Bareback is my favorite thing ever! I used to have bad balance before i went to compete in a hunter show, so my trainer made me ride bareback for a month and did not let me put a saddle back on until around a week or two before the show. Ever since then I ride bareback as often as possible!

  • good job! I have a horse and when ever I try to ride her bare back,i fall off when we canter. lol

  • haha... i totally agree with your vid. info, bareback riding is the best way to learn balance, building up your muscles, and they don't rely on the stirrups or saddle for support. if i was ever a trainer i would have them start bareback until they were good at that and it would make the saddle seem alot easier =p it's also true about the pain part, LOL learning to post bareback on a saddlebred isnt the best thing in the world =]

  • Gorgeous pony

I sometimes ride bareback back from the field (with a headcollar) we canter up on of the hills on the way back too awesome!

  • Lol you're very brave :P I've ridden bareback, but on a horse as wide as a fridge. And we didn't do much, he's over 16hh so falling off him is just suicide right there xD Anyways, you did a fantastic job, great seat

  • Hi, you did really well. Was that your first time? coz your really good. My first time i rode bareback i jumped 2ft and i decided to get cocky nad jump 3ft. We went over 3 jumps fine and then my horse decided she had, had enough and stopped and iw ent flying over her shoulder and hit the jump. It scared me out of riding bareback for ages. Luckily i got over it, but you did really well to hop straight back on. Well done.
