I am curious, if you were not trying to expose brighter then the sun and were doing regular indoor studio work with softboxes and large umbrellas, are the 800s still enough power, or do you need to step up a little more since the softboxes [i hear] difuse the light alot? I am currently trying to decide between the 800s and the 1600s.

800s are enough for studio, I don't use full power indoor.

Hot pics, thats the look everyones i going for now, just wondering why you dont use pocket wizards? I see you had a sync cord attached to the alienbees. By the way i think the 1600s are too much the 800s are doing great.

I have 2 B800s and 1 400,
They are great lights , never have they failed on me.
The only thing--I have to use them fairly close to the subject if I underexpose daylight--to get that 3d lighting look. I guess I need a little more power. Maybe the B1600 would do.
