Esto sólo lo arreglamos entre todos: Edurne Pasaban

En la Tierra hay 16 hombres que han alcanzado las 14 montañas más altas del mundo, pero hasta ahora ninguna mujer lo ha logrado. El próximo reto de Edurne Pasaban, ahora que acaba de coronar el Annapurna, su 13º "ochomil", es escalar el Shisha Pangma. La coreana Oh Eun Sun, con la que coincidió en el campamento base del Annapurna, es la gran favorita en el intento y le quedaba únicamente esta cima para completar los 14 picos.

Escalando el K2, Edurne Pasaban sufrió congelaciones y tuvieron que amputarle dos dedos de los pies. En ese momento caí en un agujero, me deprimí profundamente. Llegué a preguntarme: realmente merece la pena esto que hago? Para superar algo así es importante que creas en tí mismo, que eres capaz de salir de ahí.

Para llegar a un objetivo en tu vida has de ser un luchador y tener los objetivos muy claros.

@cooljeansguy Pasaban argued against Oh beacause she knew that it was impossible climb Kangchengjunga the day that Oh said have it done, because the weather. The pics of Oh also seems sunny. Many of the climbs of Oh are under suspicion, but that of Kangchengjunga is obviously false... 8 climbs over 8000 in 2 years... sure!... she said that no use oxygen but too many people says that she use... she is a very big cheater

@uuduu7 i think you are right. she should scale the mountain once again, only if to show where the pic was taken. If she did, great; if she didn't, she owes a huge apology to pasaban.

I suggest Oh shld to conclusively scale the disputed mountain another time, just to show that she can do it without a doubt.

After all climbing shld not be about the vanity of pursuing a title right ?

I know u wish to side with Oh simply becos she is korean and you are probably korean too, am I right ?

.. but u should be more objective to view the physical evidences such as the flag's location, the Sherpas' witness accounts, the lack of photos to support Oh etc. Even Hawley had to put the word "disputed" on Oh's achievements, and the Korean climbing body has denounced her claims ..

I'm sorry but yr link does not go anywhere. Pls provide a proper link to let us view the photo. Anyway rock or no rock is beside the point. Oh could not adequately explain why her flag was planted so far below the summit, in fact she could hardly remember why the flag was where it was, using the world 'maybe'.

If its Jon Gangdal's words against the disputing sherpas' words, I would of course believe the Serpas becos Jon was believing Oh only based on faith not physical evidence.

The latest twist in this continuing saga is that Jon Gangdal has come forward with a photo of Kangchenjunga showing a rock dome near the summit, approximately 7-8 meters below the summit. //kr.news.yahoo.com/sports/gol­f/view?aid=2010090214381117315­. This is consistent with Oh's claim that she had to descend 5-10 meters below the summit to take a pic, and inconsistent with Pasaban's claim that there are no rocks near the summit. Did Pasaban really climb Kanchenjunga?
