A helicopter ride through the rugged Australian outback with stunning gorges and rivers of Wongalara, a sanctuary owned by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. This property has huge variation in landscape and diversity of habitats - it is not surprising to find many of the unique animals and plants of northern Australia. Wongalara supports habitat for over 200 bird species, more than 40 mammal species, 86 species of reptiles and 22 amphibians.
Nationally threatened species such as the Gouldian Finch, the Crested Shrike-tit and the Northern Quoll find refuge on Wongalara. The property is also home to endemic species such as the Hooded Parrot and the Kakadu Dunnart, which are found only in a small area of the top end.
