"For Unity of the Intransigents" - Carlos Goicolea

Carlos Goicolea, described by Radio Marti as a representative of the international organization "Cuba Democracia Ya" (Cuba Democracy Now) and member of the group "Exilio Unido Ya" (Exiles United Now), explains what unity among Cubans means to him. He is interview by Manuel Prieres for the Villa Granadillo blog.

"There are forces not only from that regime in Cuba, but also here internally that are trying to finish us, that are trying to derail us. And we will not permit it. We will not allow that division. I do advocate unity, but for unity among the like-minded. I don't advocate for unity with whoever... No, we have to advocate and fight for unity, but unity among the like-minded. For unity among us who think alike. For unity of the intransigents. For unity among us who want to finish with that tyranny [in Cuba]. That is all. Thank you."
