Pilger has always been a great proponent of white guilt - this video is no different in that it takes no account of the aspects of white rule that allowed SA to become a modern industrialised and wealthy society with SA blacks enjoying the highest lifestyle of all blacks in Africa, Without white-rule SA would be today just like most African nations - steeped in conflict, primitive superstition, backwardness and tribalism.

You argue that white-rule leads to advancements.. in one broad generalization, you ignore that white rule receeded much poverty.. the poverty you see in africa today.

@Kalydosos pilger is speaking about a political dispensation, he isn't attacking 'whites' or sticking up for 'blacks'. i doubt the man views the world in such narrow terms as racial categories. there is nothing inately different about one man or another in this regard of beliefs about ones superiority. the difference is in belief and the way he relates to others. a political dispensation allows for or prevents injustice

SA economy did well under apartheid and continues to do well due to many global factors, it has nothing to do with the shade of the politicians in power. The economy may be strong, but benefits do not filterr down to the people. It is sad that so many folks are still stuck in a black white divide.. Pilger's work here highlights the economy under apartheid and pos-apartheid, showing that things haven't changed. It's not about white vs black

Zimbabwe: Had the Infrastructure, health-care, agricultural-sector, schools ect. All developed by whites. It took 20yrs for black communist nationalists to destroy, starve & suppress it's own people.
