Use Nylon washers and screws.

Yes,the motherboard I first showed and the motherboard I eventually have the screws and washers on are different. I had done the penny fix on a different xbox and was using the original motherboard as a reference to show you all the x-clamps and how to take them off. The xbox I showed working was the xbox I performed the x-clamp trick on before I made this video, it is still working today.

  • faith in humanity has been restored! XD

  • @MrMistakrayz he said 8(2 in each hole where the heatsink seats) and 4 on the other side of the board(one on each hole or screw)

  • @jermaintyronjohnson In the description he says they are nylon.

  • how are those bolts and washers not conductive? they sure look metal to me.

  • Good video and did a combo of this and the heat gun trick to recover from the red ring of death. Actually used a single spring washer between motherboard and heat sinks, and covered a washer in insulating tape between bolt head and motherboard on back to ensure no short circuits. Worked great, and spring washer makes sure tension is kept up, now had it on for 5 hours and working fine, cheers!

  • So this trick is for when you have one red bar?

  • I did this and now the power supply to my xbox stays orange. Wtf?

  • witch method is easier to do the xclamp or penny?

  • if you have a problem keeping the washers in place use tooth picks too keep in place worked for me
