  • that is the way of the payola...............,this is why i love the freedom of youtube......... thanks for your comment w

  • Thank you for your comment, there are still many young musicians and singers that are doing great things in Brasilian and American jazz (Luciana Souza,Jennifer Robin, etc) I'm still playing and writing music for TV. I'm co- producing an album with singer Jennifer Robin called "the bird andthe beatles" It should be finished by June.

    Thanks w

  • Thanks Chuck! Oscar for Brasil 88 was arranger/conductor. He also conducted our rehearsals. . Oscar was a leader in the "bossa Nova " movement in the early 60's with a groupe called "Bossa Rio". .. I was visiting Oscar at Oceanway Studios in LA. a couple of weeks ago and he was recording and conducting a beautiful string sextet arrangement with Luciana Souza. Her family is credited with the invention and pioneering of the Bossa Nova. He is a brilliant musician and a great friend. w

  • My bro-in-law Alan on drums!

  • Alan is one of my favorite drummers of all time to play with, and a great person.

  • i love this song, but the singers are totally blowin it. not to mention they are playing it so fast that the musicians can barely play it cleanly.

  • I agree! It was the first gig we played together. It was way too fast.but things got better. w giancaterino (bassist brasil88)

  • Such great music exists, but the radio stations only play the same sh*t all day long.

    Thx for posting this :)

  • Warren,

Thanks for posting this. I've been a big Sergio Mendez fan for years. This is so Hip. This is when music was great!!!!!!you guys sounded so great... Are you still playing?

  • I appreciate musicians like you posting their work here! My channel of 550 playlists includes lists for Oscar & Sergio - what can you say about Oscar? was he involved in the group as an arranger himself? I've been studying music on youtube nearly 2 years now as if going for a degree. No one ever mentions 'the Brazilian Invasion' of the bossa nova beat in 100s of pop tunes in the US & UK, or as the source of smooth jazz. Thanks for sharing this great music! Chuck

  • Jesus!! the energy is incredible. I too am a bassist and in a band, this video has been such an influence. Thanks so much Warren for uploading it.

  • Man, i've been looking for "One More Lie" for a long time and can't find it anywhere other than here at Youtube. Thanks man for this jewel of a post. Do you have the commercial version?
