Jimmy said that you could throw a joke in the end of a show to make people laugh, same joke being offensive if used as a warm up. Jimmy is mighty optimistic when he thinks this is because he is kinda like befriending the audience.

Having watched many of Frankies shows I figure it's more like falling victim to an artillery shelling. Shells keep dropping while you lie in the mud whimpering. Cursing and pleading wont help so best just accept it and laugh like the others.

@TheOldSS That is a very interesting way of looking at it, having seen Jimmy live, I agree that is true for most of the audience. I've heard him say that there are jokes at the end that he wouldn't use at the start.

But for me I go to a comedy gig knowing what Jimmy is like, that although he might be offensive it is a JOKE, its all an act & I believe Frankie is exactly the same, although I havn't seen him live, I've seen his dvds & I never get offended, its a joke, so I find it funny.

@cherylalison Well, one might want to ignore that comment, as I was royally shitfaced while I wrote it. I mean like 20 beers and couple of shots-shitfaced.

Though I must say that I am very proud about myself as I was able to form understandable sentences without any major spelling mistakes. All this considering English is not my native tongue.

Theres a comedian called Norm MacDonald and he has a very laid back attitude towards performing and "pleasing people". As in the dude thinks its funny whenever he bombs on stage cause of the irony off it. And just like Frankie hes at his best just having a conversation and reacting to people.
