@Monkeyshouts True. A spade is still a spade. Regardless, I'd take her ANYDAY over the extreme conservative christian right or the T-baggers... I mean T-Partyers.

@Cerulean0987 Well, if she voted according to a party line so different from the majority of Maine constituants, she would simply lose her seat. This is mean calculation for more votes on, as she summed up, having a government taken over by a few companies ("little gov't"), letting the industrialized world's largest wealth gap widen by denying inequalities at the core ("individual responsability"), and big military spending. Don't get fooled just because she looks as friendly as Obama.

I'm from originally from Maine and even though I am a liberal, I always admired her for voting her conscious, not voting strictly down party lines, and, I believe, authentically cared for her constituants.

Sadly...I am afraid they will do the same thing they did with Bush- not as bad as the democrats, but certainly not as conservatively as their platform dictates.
I HATE going to the poles only to have to vote for the lesser of 2 evils, but that is the way that it is.
They're ALL crooks. It's just a matter of voting for the guy that will empty your bank account verses voting for the guy that will steal everything you've got.
