Jonathan Coulton's third and successful attempt at the up to date version of "The Presidents".

Sorry about the camera angle. The show was sold out and we didn't get good seats. We were stuck behind some people on the balcony.

ORIGINAL LYRICS
George Bush senior poked at Sadam Hussein
Clinton gave an intern a cigar
Ws legacys a work in progress
And that is all the presidents so far
In the year 2005 were out of money
Somewhere surely freedoms on the march
And I dont like to make political statements

UPDATED LYRICS
George Bush senior poked at Sadam Hussein
Clinton gave an intern a cigar
W's reign of terror's nearly over
Obama's pretty excellent so far
In the year 2009 were out of money
Somewhere surely freedoms on the march
And I dont like to make political statements

  • this dude is awesome. and nothing is more fun than a performer having fun trying to remember lyrics. :D

  • I think this is better than if he had gotten through it without problem

  • One: No.

Two: Check the date on this one.

  • He's not wrong, Obama has voted to reinstate many of the bush eras worst policies. Look at Senate bill S.773, It basically would give Obama total control of the internet in the event of a "national emergency", just as an example.

  • now revised to "finally over"

  • great vid, LOVE the new lyrics... and JoCo

  • Third time's the charm.

Garfield line is also corrected from the record version. (Recorded version had him assassinated in 1882, and Grant enjoyed drink or two to rhyme.)

  • thanks for including captions (or, supratitles) on the new lines.
