'84 351w block bored .030 over, decked, align honed, magnafluxed.
Eagle cast nodular steel crank, 4.00 inch stroke
Eagle 6.200 4340 forged H beam rods, L19 cap screws
Probe SRS forged aluminum pistons -13cc dish- (about 10.5:1 compression with 64cc head) with file fit Plasma moly rings...with clearance for a healthy dose of nitrous ) they are full floating bushed.
Rotating assembly is balanced and will include C4 flexplate and stock damper
All bearings will be quality clevite 77 "H" series race
ARP main and head bolts, high volume oil pump,
Dart Windsor Sr. heads (steel) 2.02 1.60 stainless steel Manley valves.
The heads have been pro ported, and have hardened pushrods and guide plates.
Roller rockers are Scorpion
The cam is very mild .523 .523 custom made for EFI....change it out for something radical and its an easy 550+ hp engine, just add some nitrous and your in BIG numbers.
Cam and springs are Comp Cams products (hydraulic)
This engine is very streetable, idles good, not too bad on fuel (15-20mpg) with my C4 and 3.50 gear. Best time with this combo BEFORE the stroker kit (was a 357) was 12.1 @113mph. Never raced it with the 408 but low 11's would be easy to say the least....very high 10's i would suspect.
