First of Ross' "Detail Series" on painting and installing a brick arch retaining wall on the layout. The wall is coloured with six colours. I hope you find it helpful.

  • Hello Ross,

Do you think this will work with plastic wall, like in the Faller kits?

  • @77alnel, The paint technique only works on material that allows the paint to soak into it. You will have to use opaque type paints.

  • Wow Do you live in a rain forest? Not only are you a first class Modeller But also a very Desent and Genuine guyyou seem to manage to reply to most coments, if only i had you patients on my layout, i seem to buy pre-built everything now lol

  • @hitchhiker38 Hi hitchhiker38, Thankyou for your comments. The birds you hear are local to the area I live in but no rain forest. I enjoy all aspects of the hobby.

  • Very Nice. Can you tell me did you make the wall or did you purchase them. Also what was your paint mixture ratio ?

  • 77alnel, The wall was made from plaster castings, one for the arched section and another for the solid wall behind which where then glued together onto a wooden profile.
