This is what it all comes down to. WHile I accidentally quoted this one out of context, the charge leveled at Protestants by the author describes exactly how Catholic theology works.

  • You are still avoiding the question . The ONLY possible position you can take is the Church somehow lost its authority ? Even though Jesus said he won't The Catholics were underground till EDICT OF MILAN do you really belive they had a Bible ? No ? So how could they know what they knew ? Willing to die ? This whole video is foolish . Of course Catholicism came before the Bible if not how could they infallibly know how the Holy Bible should be ?

  • @SAYYOURROSARY The fundamental misunderstanding here is the Catholic view of the concept of 'church'. At absolutely NO POINT in scripture does this phantom authorotative teaching authority appear, with the exception of the apostles themselves. No hint of succession or further 'refinement' of the simple revealed truths can be found anywhere. Jesus never said the 'church' as you understand it would prevail. Remember, He said the words He spoke would judge us, not the 'vicars' he supposedly left .

  • That's because the church exsisted 397 years BEFORE the Bible was compiled .under one cover , This is the classic which came first .. The church predates the Bible

by 397 years Your altered Bibles started after 1500's But Jesus said he would never leave His church

Catholics always believed in the Trinity but the pope approved it as dogma .

Nowhere in the Bible does it say Jesus from the father and the Holy ghost is sent by BOTH Father and Son . Why do you believe this ? Dogma

  • @SAYYOURROSARY The endlessly offensive statement that the 'church produced the Bible' flies in the face of scripture which states that holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Popish ideologues, atheist activists, and crypto-Romanist apologists have opposed any and every Biblical authority, but no Buddhist, Moslem, Vatican cultist, Scientologist, Darwinist or Opus Dei flagellant can tell you how to know with certainty that you will go to heaven when you die.

Neither religion, nor Alexandrian cultism, nor skepticism has ever saved anyone. Only Jesus saves.

    When--if ever--were you born again??

  • @jjpetkusiii "Peace on Earth goodwill towards men" The real quote is "Peace on earth towards men of goodwill " see the difference ? No wonder you think YOU are "saved" ..it's like the way Luther changed the Bible to fit his beliefs .... sound familiar ?

  • @SAYYOURROSARY

The LORD Who gave the Holy Bible by inspiration also preserved it.

As RainhadoCanto4 wrote, "Here [are] the 'revisions' to the King James Bible:

"1. 1612: Typography ( from Gothic to Roman type).

    "2. 1629 & 1638: Correction of typographical errors.

    "3. 1762 & 1769: Standardization of spelling.

"The 'Board of Managers' of the American Bible Society in 1852 determined that 'The English Bible as left by the translators has come down to us unaltered in respect to its text...'"

  • @catholicexodus and WHO decided which scriptures were valid and which were spurious ? WHO put it in the order they did ? You know the answer . THJE ONLY valid protestant angle to take is that the Church lost it's authority" To act like everybody was not Catholic all along is offensive and flies in the face of history bro . BTW Chapter and verses were a new addition to the Bible

  • @SAYYOURROSARY

Language is always a matter of usage, but that reality routinely eludes the attention of the incompetents who purported to instruct the vast majority of Alexandrian cultists in Greek and Hebrew as well as misleading them with idle speculation.

None of them or any other skeptic has ever presented one historical or linguistic fact that refutes the plenary verbal inerrancy of the King James Bible in fully legible English today, as many scholarly works have demonstrated long ago.
