What happened to the original version? It doesn't seem to be on youtube anymore.

My Richard Scarry book had a xiphias (swordfish) on the alphabet page... when I was a kid, I felt so smart for knowing that there were other X words besides xylophone. XXDD

This is an interesting take on the Sesame Street video.

How do you come up with this hilarious stuff? (Then again, what am I saying? You should have seen the funny/gory Letter People stories I wrote in kindergarten...)

Funny, in those small 'black background' cards of Mr. X, on the inside of them, there were pictures of someone getting an X-ray, and a little treasure map with a big 'X' on it.

That's probably how he ended up being "all wrong" in the first place. One should not attempt to skateboard into oncoming traffic after drinking an entire bottle of Jagermeister straight...then..."We can make him whole again, but it'll cost $47 million." Unfortunately, all the Letter People had when they pooled their money was $12.82, and the end result was the Mr. X we know and love.

Mr. X drinking? That's a hilarious thought. I haven't drawn anything in forever (lately I've mostly been doing costume stuff), but I think you've just inspired me again...

Mr. X did play the xylophone, of course, as 'all wrong' as he is, he usually tried to play it like a harmonica, or by ramming it into a wall repeatedly, or both if he had been drinking.
What would be especially cool for the kids would be "X is for Xiphactinus" (The prehistoric 15-foot long carnivorous fish")

That actually would be amazing; when I was in preschool and kindergarten, I LOVED dinosaurs and all other manner of prehistoric animals (seriously, I even wanted to be a palentologist for a while), so that would have been the most epic thing ever.
