It's no surprise that anything Zune comes out with is goat-crap.

  • For some people, Zune might make sense. It's a subscription service, like satellite radio. Pay your monthly fee and you can keep listening to anything.

Those who spend a fortune on iTunes songs that they'll listen to for awhile then forget about may save money.

  • To be fair people who forget about their iTunes music don't lose them. They are still saved in their computer, iPod, etc.

  • Yes, you're right. But I'll bet for many people the 10 keep songs a month they offer is plenty. The rest can go away. They won't miss them.

I'm not saying Zune is for everybody. But when it's compared to another subscription music service, satellite radio, it's not all that bad.

For about the same money, you can listen to ANY songs you want when you want to - unlike radio. Plus, with radio, you don't get to keep anything.

  • True, I've never heard of Satellite Radio so it must not be very good. Also yeah I don't buy more than 10 songs a month if any, but I think then Zune should've compared Zune Pass to Satellite Radio to make themselves look better than attacking their arch nemesis, who has a better way of doing this than they do.

  • Zune seems to be somewhere between satellite radio and iTunes. Comparing themselves to either makes sense in its own way.

But I agree it seems more honest to compare themselves to satellite radio. iTunes is a purchase plan. A completely different financial model.

Their ads comparing to iTunes could make people believe they actually get to keep what they download just like iTunes but much cheaper.

  • Exactly

  • It's free, even Sony puts up their music videos and stuff, AC/DC has a channel, so do many other artists, so it's free and legal.

  • I'm sure all five of the people that have Zune passes are very happy. XD

  • lol I agree!
